Cross-Curricular

Environmental issues don’t respect subject boundaries, therefore the FSC offer ‘interdisciplinary’ programmes combining subject (e.g. science, social studies and expressive arts) and cross curricular outcomes (e.g. health, enterprise, citizenship and ICT).  This presents learners with enjoyable, challenging, progressive and coherent learning in inspirational outdoor settings.

Each programme is designed to develop successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens in line with the principles, capacities, and relevant subject learning outcomes for Levels 2 and 3, in a Curriculum for Excellence. Courses can be tailored towards either the P7 to S1, or S1 to S2 transition.
