WJEC A Three day programme:
Investigating the World
Students undertake an enquiry based on fieldwork within a river environment, as the basis for their controlled assessment (Unit 3) fieldwork. As well as content from the River Processes and Landforms section of the Physical World, within the Core Unit 1, students will also explore how rivers are managed (also within this section) and have the option of a part day investigation into Economic Change (human option from Unit 2) or Living Things (physical option from Unit 2).
WJEC A Five day programme:
Investigating the World
For the controlled assessment (Unit 3), students will investigate river and coastal environments as well as a tourist honeypot, giving a choice of physical and human geography for the write up. Students will also develop a broad range of Enquiry skills. The environments investigated will support learning and understanding of Water: Rivers and management, part of Core Unit (Unit 1) and Physical and Human Options (Unit 2).
WJEC B Three day programme:
Investigations, Interactions and the Controlled Assessment
This programme develops geographical skills and prepares students for the controlled assessment, as well as covering content in Theme 1 and Theme 2 of the WJEC B specification.
WJEC B Five day programme:
Investigations, Interactions and the Controlled Assessment
This programme develops a range of geographical skills and prepares students for the controlled assessment, giving them a choice of write up topics, as well as covering content in Theme 1 and Theme 2 of the WJEC B specification.
