Free worksheets and teaching materials for fieldwork in Key Stage 3 Science Newly expanded for Summer 2008, this site offers free teaching and learning resources to support ecology fieldwork in 11-14 Science.
Do one thing for nature with the FSC and BBC Breathing Places Field Studies Council has been working with the BBC and other partner organisations as part of the BBC Breathing Places campaign to provide help for schools to create space for plants and wildlife in school grounds.

NEW Geography programmes for Key Stage 4 2009 specification requirements

The FSC have launched a range of exciting geography fieldwork programmes designed specifically to meet the new Key Stage 4 specification requirements and help students to prepare for the controlled assessment.

The new programmes, available from September 2009, are fixed length residential courses with clearly stated learning outcomes and have been specifically designed for the new A and B specifications for AQA, Edexcel , OCR and WJEC.

Hands on experience, including fieldwork is vital for enthusing Key Stage 4 students. Each programme enables students to use the outdoor classroom to conduct fieldwork, explore content and to put geography into a real world context, but also to undertake the vital planning and preparation for their controlled assessment in accordance with the Awarding Body’s guidance for their year of entry.

Further information on the programmes is available on the FSC website in draft format and will change to reflect any changes in the new specification as it goes through QCA approval.
